Initiation and Alignment

Exit criteria - Agreed POC scope
- High-level integration approach confirmed
Integration Setup (Target Platform)
Objective Integrate Rilla into a controlled, representative environment
- Target platform and player selected
- SDK integrated into player environment
Core requirements enabled:
- Feature flag or controlled rollout
- Access to test stream
- Telemetry and CDN data access
Exit criteria - Successful playback with Rilla enabled
- Environment ready for controlled testing
QA and Validation
Objective Ensure playback safety and baseline performance
- Playback stability verified (no regressions vs CDN baseline)
- Guardrail metrics validated (TTFF, rebuffer, drop rate, etc.)
- Device performance within acceptable limits
- Limited rollout approved (internal or small percentage of users)
Exit criteria - All QoE guardrails within agreed thresholds
- Approved to proceed to live traffic testing
Live Testing (POC Execution)
Objective Validate performance under real-world scale and conditions
- Trial executed at meaningful concurrency (CCU target reached)
- Peak traffic window tested
- CDN deflection and peer performance measured
- System behavior observed under churn (joins and leaves)
Exit criteria - Reliable data collected across all success metrics
- No critical stability or performance issues
Evaluation and Production Decision
Objective Determine readiness for rollout
- Joint review of results across Rilla and deployment stakeholders
Performance versus success criteria evaluated:
- Deflection achieved
- QoE guardrails maintained
- Operational feasibility confirmed
Production rollout recommendation defined:
- Proceed to rollout
- Iterate and retest
- Defer
